A Chilean Paradise

The first time I went to Easter Island was a couple of years ago and I was not convinced that was going to be a good holiday destination for someone like me but as my friends insisted so much I didn’t have another option but to accept. We had to take lots of planes to finally get to the island but it was well worth it. I’m not the kind of person who is interested in museums and archaeological sites but to my surprise I found the island really picturesque. Besides the locals made the whole experience a lot better because they made us feel as if we were at home. I even had the chance to pick up a few words in Spanish and that motivated me to learn more about the Rapa Nui culture and also about the language. I made a promise that the next time I went to the island I would be able to speak fluent Spanish and I am already working on it.

My friends and I are about to head out on the adventure of a lifetime. I’ve been to Punta Cana before but my friends haven’t been so I have been the chief planner of our trip. After What My Friend Went Through, I Will Never Ask Again, Should I Buy Travel Insurance?

I never thought much about getting travel insurance until a friend of mine had a disastrous trip abroad. Now I no longer wonder over the question, should I buy travel insurance? He saved up for a long time to take his family on the trip of a lifetime. The first thing he encountered when he landed was to find out the resort he booked their vacation at had gone bankrupt and was closed. Not willing to just leave and come home, since they were going to be gone for a month, he paid for new lodgings and they began to go on adventures on their own. They were hiking in the mountains when he fell and got hurt. He needed a couple of days in the hospital. Rescue crews had to extract him from the location he fell. It turns out he was on restricted property in a country that takes such violations very seriously. While they were hiking, all of their possessions left back at the hotel were stolen. They cut their trip short after an attorney he hired to get him out of trouble worked it out for him when the authorities just asked them to leave. He had to pay almost two thousand dollars more to fly back early. If he had travel insurance, all of it would have been covered.
